Levi is living with a renal failure and transplant. His wish was for a scenic flight over Auckland, initially we planned to make him airborn via aeroplane flight but due to lockdown challenges we had to change plans at the last minute.
There was a massive silver lining to this situation however, as we were very fortunate that our friends at ZURU Toys came to rescue. They pulled some strings and were able to organise a helicopter flight, courtesy of ZURU Toys owner Nick Mowbray.
Mr Mowbray organised for his personal helicopter and pilot to be made available to fly Levi and his father Stephen for an hour long scenic flight over Manukau Harbour, the Waitakere Ranges, Central Auckland, Waiheke and Clevedon before landing back at Ardmore airport.
Levi's Dad Stephen provided some glowing feedback:
"Levi thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, and I also. Jamie was awesome! Thank you Deb and Make-A-Wish. Blessings Mauri Ora."
